Dance – Floor For Your Home

JEREMY WALTON 2007

"As a homebound father, dance-floor nights with my girlfriend are suddenly distant memories" - and from this his own experience the English designer and artist Jeremy Walton, in collaboration with PP Mřbler, created this dance-floor complete with mirrors.

The 'Dance-floor' was presented at the SE-exhibition 2007 as an attempt to recreate the fleeting nights of youth passed on a dance-floor, in your own living-room.

The floor is a three layered cross-construction made from solid ash wood, a technique developed at PP Mřbler's workshop for this specific piece. It's one square metre, and further consists of felt and glass.
A unique space for playful closeness in a busy everyday life where all to often there is not (enough) room for fun.

Fight the armchair culture, die on a dance-floor!
